The Acer 3721 is an affordable, fast and ultra portable device that scores well on durability but suffers from niggling design setbacks that ultimately affects its rating among its peers. The device comes with a windows 7 home premium 64 bit and an intel i5 processor -model U430- with a commendable speed of 12oo MHz. With it is a 4 GB memory, a memory technology of DDR3 and a more than useful speed of 1333 MHz. The Acer 3721 also comes with one HD size of 500 GB which can do a speed of 5400RPM, and this storage is further beefed up by memory stick, SD/MMC card, SDHC card and XD picture card.
The 11.6 incher is identical to the Acer Aspire 721 and cover a width of 11.2, a depth of 8 inches and a prime height of 1.2 inches, all in a three pound body that makes for a solid feel. Its suite of software includes Acer eRecovery and Back up bundled with crystal Eye webcam, skype, microsoft works and a potent cyberlink power DVD9. It also offers three USB 2.0 ports, one, HDMI , one VGA and a gigabit LAN port. You will also get N -Wireless communication and a five -in- one card reader that will sort your image retrieving.
The machine offers a great high defination video play back with 720p, 1080p, online or even local and its battery will not disappoint you with its impressive six hour return before re -charging. Its sound is also great with its good range, but its not loud though speakers. The overall performance is good, reinforced by its powerful 430 UM core i5 processor.
The computer, as you would expects with its compromises, has some demerits; one of which is the lack of an optic drive in its make up. The device can also not incorporate a large viewing angle and there are flaws in its design that, even if not critical, can affect performance. Its keyboard is somehow tracted into the deck and this affects the hitting on the keys. It also makes resting the wrist while typing a bit of a problem. You will also be required to use more strokes when navigating the cursor. The device provides less impressive gaming frame rates that are way below per. The device will set you back about 700 US dollars, which when mirrored with the WorldBench 6 score of 76, apears reasonable.
The Timelinex 3721 probably went too aggressive on compromise, an aspect that gives credence to its critics, but it is still a good device that can perform and roll with the punches against most in the industry.
