Samsung, Apple’s biggest rival in the sector of tablet devices and all things digital has finally launched the answer to Apple’s iPad: two new tablets, claimed to be the thinnest in the world, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 and the Galaxy Tab 10.1.Now Samsung can join the ever rising crowd of tablet deigns and interfaces in order to compete for your business.
Here we will concentrate on the Galaxy Tab 8.9 for now, which has been launched in two versions. One is comes with a 16 GB storage space, and the other is a 32 GB capacity, which supports Adobe Flash 10.2 for all your video streaming needs. Its 8.9 inch screen displays a maximum resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels—good quality for browsing images and reading. It features a dual-core CPU at 1 GHz, making it sufficiently fast for whatever you would like to do with it, and weighs just about 470 grams. It is 8.6 mm thick (the iPad weighs 601 grams and is 8.8 mm thick), which makes this tablet easy to carry around. You can bring it anywhere, to work so you can browse the internet on your break or along with you on a camping trip in place of a big stack of books. It is a light alternative to bringing along a heavy stack of entertainment paraphernalia, as you can stream videos on it as well.
This Galaxy Tab has two cameras, which seems to be included in everything these days. One is positioned on the front side and one on the back. The one on the back side is 3 megapixels of good image quality, while the camera on the front side can be used for video calls as well as taking pictures, and that camera comes with 2 megapixels of quality. Both cameras feature autofocus along with an LED flash and the possibility of videos with HD 720p quality. So you can even record videos of you hanging out to send to friends or family, along with photos that you can store on the tablet itself. You can also make pretty good quality video chats available to anyone you haven’t seen in a while.
Both versions will be available at the same time. The 16 GB version will cost $469, while the 32 GB version will go up for $569. They will both be available this summer so you can easily choose whichever is better for you—more space, or the cheaper deal.
