The Sony Experia S was released in March 2012. The phone has a 4.3 inch LED backlit LCD, and also has the benefit of scratch resistant glass. It doesn’t use an external SD card, but does have internal storage of 32GB so you will have no problems with space. The phone has an amazing 12 megapixel camera and has the additional features of geo-tagging, image stabilization, autofocus; touch focus, 3D sweep panorama, smile and face detection, LED flash and many more. Although it can’t compete with something like the Galaxy S3 it certainly has a lot to offer.
The Motorola Atrix HD was released in July 2012. It has a 4.5 inch 720p display. This is a new device by Motorola, with the Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0. It has 8GB of internal storage and an external SD card storage of up to 32 GB. This phone should get the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update at some point in 2013. This phone has great audio quality and the noise cancelling microphone is excellent-the person on the other end of the line won’t be able to tell where you are even if you are standing in a busy environment. The battery life isn’t great on this phone however, it is at a much lower price point.
The Huawei Ascend D1 quad phone comes from a Chinese company who revealed that their main objectives were better battery life, a faster processor and the display. Huawei say they will give you 15 hours of talk time with this phone and 500 hours on standby! It has an 8 megapixel camera with a dual LED flash and a back illuminated sensor. It has a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera too for video chatting and self-portraits and can also video in HD 1080p video.
