Design

The design of the BlackBerry Bold 9780 is pretty much similar to Bold 9700 with height of 4.29 inches, width of 2.36 inches, thickness of 0.56 inches and a weight of 4.3 ounces. The display of the phone is shrill and vibrant and the measure of the screen is 2.44 inches obliquely and has a resolution of a half- VGA of 480×320 pixels. Although it was easy to read emails and view media but reading the web pages required a bit of zooming as the small screen made the text appear small.

The Talk, End, Back and Menu keys are positioned below the display traditionally and a volume rocker, a user defined convenience keys are placed on the right side whereas the Micro USB port, a customizable shortcut and a 3.5 mm headphone jack are placed on the left side of the phone. On the top of the set are the lock and mute buttons, the flash and the camera on the back and the Micro SD extension slot behind the battery access. The keyboard is similar to that of Bold 9700, with rectangular keys of a good size, a slight crest which prevents and mis-pressing of keys. An Ac adapter, a strap holster, a USB cable, a wired stereo headset and a 2 GB micro SD card along with reference material come in the package from T-Mobile.
