When most people they think computers, however Acer has been creating some great phones and the Acer Liquid Mini is one of them. This device also goes by the name of Acer E310.

The device comes in a multitude of colors. Some of the colours it is offered in are blue, pink, silver, black, green, lagoon, cherry, pearl and steel. The front of the device, like most recent touch screen devices, is pretty bare. Under the screen there are four capacitive touch buttons that take the user to the home screen, search bar, menu, etc. The only other thing on the front is the Acer symbol located above the screen. The power button is located on the left side of the phone, which is interesting and unique. On the right side there is a volume toggle switch and a microSD port. The 3.5 mm headphone jack is located at the top of the device. The back has nothing on it except for the camera, the loudspeaker, and another Acer symbol.

The main screen is a 3.2 inch TFT display screen. It has a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels which is high quality. The screen is capacitive which means that it is made specifically for fingers rather than a stylus, but also that it is more responsive than a resistive touch screen. The screen is multi-touch which is great for a device that does not have a QWERTY keyboard. The multi-touch allows for the user to type quickly without making a massive amount of typos. Also, if the user is playing a game on the device is the device effectively registers the buttons you are hitting keeping up with the quality of the game. The device also has a light sensor and a proximity sensor. The light sensor saves battery life. It monitors the brightness of the environment and adjusts accordingly. The proximity sensor has an auto turn off/ standby affect. If it goes untouched for so long, the battery will go to standby in order to save battery life.

The Acer Liquid Mini is equipped with an Android 2.3 operating system, the latest version of Android. It runs on a 600 MHz Single Core QualComm 7227 processor. The device has quite a bit of storage as it has 768 MB of built in storage. Additionally, the device has a microSD slot and Acer supplies the user with a 2 GB microSD card. However, it can contain up to 32 GB of storage.

The device comes with a 5 MP camera, which is the average quality camera for smartphones. It has auto focus as well as geo-tagging. Geo-tagging is when the camera uses the GPS to determine where the photo is being taken. The phone can also take DVD quality videos (720 x 840 pixels).

The Acer Liquid Mini contains a 1300 mAH battery which is actually a low power battery for a smart phone. However, with the phone can handle 6 hours of talk time which is good. It can also handle 400 hours of standby time.
