Complete Review:
The Booq Mamba Shift L laptop backpack bag, as can be seen looks so versatile, spacious and easy to use. It is further blessed with a plethora of smaller pockets, which gives you great storage for all sorts of cables, extra devices, power adapters, modems and the works. The best part is that it all stuffs in without bulking.
Note the wide access for laptop, and that’s a 17”. The bag comes well padded with straps, which are able to prevent a total sag on your shoulders making it rather comfortable even when fully laden. A well-combined design with limited seams to ensure that it does not get hooked onto something as you walk around. The lack of outer pockets is a smuck. Where do I put all the leaflets that I pick up at the convention center, which should be disposed as soon as possible?
The inability to carry a camera using this bag makes one question the price again, which would have not happened otherwise. The pockets might be suggested for this use but the intention of the design seems to be to carry small items. A bulky lens to carry around and your in trouble again. Well not all are photographers and for them this Booq Mamba Shift L laptop backpack will work though expensive.
The price is an issue. Even though the backpack is both large and the quality is great, priced at $150 it will put a dent in the pay pack. The backpack is not paypack friendly. There are good bags, which are cheaper by $50 at least. One can think of the Boa squeeze.
Conclusion
The Booq Mamba Shift L is a super backpack if you need to carry the laptop around and you get frustrated if the right connector and the cable or any accessory is not around. You could carry it all. If you need to carry the camera around with your computer the backpack will not ease your frustration. The L in the name stands for large, which it is. If you like the smaller bag the M needs to come out hopefully at a more moderated price as well.
