Do you like saving money online but dislike the amount of hoops you usually have to jump through to get coupons and save? Sometimes the amount of work to do and information required makes the special offer or coupon seem almost not worth the effort. But Amex and Twitter are making deals more convenient and even more fun with social media.
When you’re already using your American Express card to save money, why not save more? This way to save is going to be more convenient and more fun. Just do a quick tweet and then save on your next American Express statement.
Think this is hard? It’s not. Just have an eligible American Express card and sync it with Twitter. Then simply tweet the special offer hashtags which will access exclusive offers from American Express directly to your card.
After you are signed up, you be alerted to different offers and then all you have to do is tweet the Twitter hashtag that is specific to the offer. And after you purchase a qualifying offer, the savings will be credited to your Amex card account. The credit should appear within one to three days.
It’s extremely easy and convenient. And if you already use Twitter, then it will probably be fun as well. If you don’t have a Twitter account, you can sign up today for free and start following your favorite celebrities and funny people. But while Twitter may have been all about entertainment at first, now people are saving money.
It’s interesting how Twitter is evolving into this place where we can all get coupons and deals and save money while having fun and social networking! There are now endless companies and feeds to subscribe to where you can find special offers, and this new program from American Express is one of the more convenient ways to save.
In the old days, you had to jump through extra hoops to get your savings. Companies would require you to click this and that link and keep clicking to get to a special site where you found a coupon or entered some information and then you could finally get the deal or save. This wasn’t a lot of fun and sometimes you felt like you went through more hassle than the deal was worth. So it’s cool to see Twitter and Amex team up to do something where people can get better deals while using the fun Twitter interface.
So if you would like to get started today, just sync your Twitter account at the link below with your eligible Amex card and then tweet the appropriate #hashtag after you sign up and sync and you will be able to start saving!
All you need is a name, card number and email address. Get started here. https://sync.americanexpress.com/twitter
Companies that are already participating with Twitter and Amex include Best Buy, McDonalds, Whole Foods Market, and others. We think there are soon to be more companies as deals and savings tend to trend pretty well on Twitter.
