We all love gadgets that help us do new things or help us solve problems so this list could be right up your street if you spend a lot of time in your kitchen. Here is a selection of 5 of my favourite kitchen gadgets:
Tefal ActiFry – This smart little piece of technology for the kitchen is essentially a chip fryer, but with a difference. Traditional chip fryers use a lot of oil and heat to prepare the oil to the correct temperature. Not only this, but it can be very messy and don’t forget that chips aren’t exactly healthy. Tefal have created the Actifry which will cook a portion of chips with just a tablespoon of oil. This means that the machine will produce healthier chips when you want them, and you get a nice piece of kit for your kitchen.
Dishwasher – Although not strictly a ‘gadget’, the dishwasher is a piece of technology that has really made our lives a lot simpler. A dishwasher can handle dirty plates and cutlery with no problems and saves you from doing the dreaded washing up, which is a personal chore of mine. Installing a dishwasher couldn’t be simpler either, as there is a choice of sizes and styles for every kitchen.
Magic Apple – This handy little gadget takes your apples and cores them, peels them, and cuts them into slices. This gadget featured in Stephen Fry’s top 100 gadgets of all time, and since then has been selling in strong numbers. It really is simple tool as you simply attach the apple and turn the handle and then the tool goes to work, swivelling it over a blade that churns out the best and tastiest parts of the apple.
Joseph Joseph Rolling Pin – You might be thinking why a rolling pin has made it into this list? Don’t worry though, it is a special kind of rolling pin! The Joseph Joseph one has a special edge that allows you to adjust the distance between the surface and the pin. This means if you are rolling pastry; you can keep it to an even set measurement for perfect baking and consistency. A handy tool for the keen baker.
Quooker Tap – This is a clever tap that can be built into your kitchen sink that dispenses hot water on demand. This means you never have to boil a kettle ever again, as you can have hot coffee and tea on demand. The Quooker is a really useful invention perfect for a modern and trendy kitchen. The kettle is so 20th Century!
Steve loves cooking and spends a lot of time in his kitchen. The newest additions to his kitchen are Bosch washing machines and Bosch dishwashers.
