With an iPod, you can use it as a pocket e book reader. You can download as many books as you want as long as they are available from the Apple’s Application store. Owing to the fact that most of the eBook readers come free of charge, you can go ahead and download as many as you can. There are also some downloads that you need to pay for especially the newer books.

The first step of using you iPod Touch as an e book reader is to open the application store in your iPod touch. The next step is to the tab indicated ‘Categories” and then select on the tab indicated ‘books’ if you are already aware of what you are looking for, you can go ahead and touch on the tab ‘search’ that is usually placed at the bottom of the screen.

After that navigate through the e book readers that are available in the category of books. There are different versions of applications for the Nook and the kindle, as well as Apple’s I Book reader and a number of other options that are free. Go ahead and make a download of the eBook in to your reader. There are circumstances when you will be required to create an account and then give information of payment. That is if you do not have one already with the company making that application. For example, kindle will use your Amazon account and the iBooks will use your account of Apple.

Another advantage of most of the eBooks is that you have the option of adjusting the color and brightness. This is to help in increasing the readability of that particular book.

This has largely added to their popularity and more and more people are buying them. Owing to this, you need to be acquainted with knowledge on how to get the best e-reader, one that will give you a run for your money.
• Size of the screen: This the first and most important feature that you need to take in to account. If you want to be using the reader each and every morning for example to be reading the newspaper as you are having your breakfast, then you need to consider  buying one that has large screen.

If you will be doing most of your reading while on the train or on the buses, then you need to get one that is a bit cheaper and has a smaller screen.
