Virtual Assistants -Today’s commodity, tomorrow’s necessity?
That is a question I have been asking myself for a while now; I’ve been working as a Virtual assistant for more than 2 years now, and if there’s something I learned is that having a good VA on your team will push your company to the next level.Why? Well for the short answer: We can take care of everything and anything that is making use of your valuable time so you can focus on the important stuff.

With the ever-growing  and fast paced of which internet technologies are growing, everyday there are more and more tools to keep us connected in a fast and efficient way.Just look at Google 10 years ago, did you imagine you could have a whole organized, fast and secure framework online? I sure didn’t; and that brings us to our initial question:  Do Virtual Assistant jobs (and online employment for that matter) have the potential to be the standard way of employment?

Now, we could go on and on rambling about statistics but the fact is that every day more and more VA jobs are becoming available, and the overall trend is to move forward to home-based positions.And what is really interesting is that 40% of U.S. employees hold jobs that that could be done at home. With this information we are one step forward to answering our question. Gas prices are going up, people are wasting time driving (yes, about 10% of your life is wasted in a car) so, working from home seems like a viable solution.

Working From Home
Now, although everything sounds great, don’t get me wrong, working from home and being a Virtual Assistant is not for everyone, there are a lot of things to take into consideration. For instance, do you have kids? It’s summer time and there’s still 89 days until those toddlers go back to school, and having them roaming around the house is not the ideal scenario to focus on your work.

Getting Prepared
Now you might hire a nanny but that would probably defeat the purpose of saving money while working from home.But when everything has been said and done, we go back to the main point –we are moving VERY fast through a technological era, the question that remains is: Are you prepared?
